The Torrium 2 is ideal for pumps supplying clean, non-volatile liquids without fibers or solids such as:
Why choose the Torrum 2 Controller?
The Torrium 2 boosts low or fluctuating mains water pressure to give you strong, even water pressure for your comfort and convenience. The Torrium 2 can also boost pressure from water tanks, cisterns, and rain water tanks.
To prevent annoying fluctuations in water temperature during showers, the Torrium 2 uses its intelligence to provide households with constant water flow to give even water pressure. It does this with its innovative pressure and flow sensors to start the pump on a pressure drop and to stop it on low flow (0.26 GPM). This avoids pump cycling when there is continuous household demand for water.
To provide you with strong water pressure right from the start, Torrium 2 is designed to cut in quickly when it senses demand for water. It cuts in when the pressure has dropped to 80% of the previous top (shut-off) pressure. It uses its intelligence to automatically set this cut-in pressure each time the pump stops. In doing so, it allows the system to automatically accommodate for variations in pump performance or site conditions.

Operation |
The Torrium 2 control starts the pump as soon as you switch on the tap and continues running until water is not required. The controller continuously monitors the flow of water and will switch it off to avoid damage if the supply becomes inadequate. The systems are compact, quiet and easy to install. The Torrium 2 features a simple indicator and fault LED system. Red means that the system is in standby. Green means the pump is running. The Torrium 2 stops the pump in "loss of prime" circumstances and activates the amber or fault LED indicator, protecting the pump from dry run damage. |

Lately I have been struggling with cycling problems with my original Torrium Water Pump Controller. Realizing that it was 5 years old and on a reconditioned pump I decided to upgrade to the new Torrium 2. I ordered the part, it showed up in 3 days, and it took all of 20 minutes to change out. It works perfectly. I also no longer have a suspicious voltage drop when it turns on, unlike the old one. All good. I'm very happy with the product.

Have had lightening ruin 2 controllers in the past 9 years. That doesn't bother me because what this equipment does by giveing a water pressure and volume quality I am satisfied with. I have gotten the idea and have installed lightening arrestor.

This controller replaced the hydroscan on my 11 year old HS 18-40 H2 booster pump. It is a dream controller as it has zero lag when you turn on the water without even an expansion tank. I presume this is because it senses flow as well as pressure. Very good product.
Wish I had replaced it years ago.

I had a Torrium controller and pump that 1 purchased 2nd hand and was quite satisfied with its performance except that I cycled constantly when the water softener regenerated or the humidifier called for water. I was investigating a variable frequency drive with pressure feedback to correct this situation when the Torrium controller failed. I opted to purchase a new Torrium 2 controller to expedite the repair and since then have had no cycling issues. Apparently the "leak" detection on the new controller eliminates the cycling when these low demand appliances call for water.
